Salmon Harbour Tower
- Height: 220 m, 70 m & 70 m
- Start of construction: 2017
- Completed: 2020
Despite much protest from local residents, the construction of the Zalmhaventoren in the Scheepvaartkwartier was recently approved by the municipal council. The 220-metre-high residential tower is accompanied by two lower towers, each 70 metres high. Together with the Hoge Heren and Hoge Erasmus towers, a compact cluster of high-rise buildings is created at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge. Upon completion, the Zalmhaventoren will be the highest tower in the Netherlands!
CoolTower
- Height: 150 m
- Start of construction: 2017
- Completed: 2020
In the Baankwartier, a district where many pre-war low-rise buildings can still be found, the 100-metre-high CoolTower will rise from the ground in 2017. Due to its central location, the giant with 280 rental and owner-occupied apartments will offer a beautiful 360-degree view of the Rotterdam city centre.
Peter Stuyvesant Building
- Height: 150 m
- Start of construction: -
- Ready: -
On the Baltimore lot on the Wilhelminapier there are plans for a new tower called the Peter Stuyvesant Building. At 180 meters, this will be the highest tower on the Wilhelminapier. A feasibility study is currently being conducted into a mixed-use development, consisting of apartments, offices, creative facilities and parking. At the top of the tower, the possibility is created for a rooftop restaurant.
The Sax
- Height: 150 m & 70 m
- Start of construction: 2018
- Completed: 2020
With the two residential towers of The Sax, called Philadelphia and Havana, the master plan of the Wilhelminapier will be complete. The complex should become a new hotspot with a real sky bar in the 150 meter high top. An attraction that should have enriched Rotterdam much earlier but is now really coming!
Up:Town
- Height: 107 m
- Start of construction: 2016
- Completed: 2018
Although Wijnhaveneiland is already home to a forest of towers, this part of the city still has plenty of room for new developments. Directly opposite 100Hoog, the equally high UP:Town will be built in 2018. A residential tower with a spacious 412 m2 penthouse at the top, from which the view of the Maas should be breathtaking.
The Muse of Rotterdam
- Height: 74 m
- Start of construction: 2017
- Completed: 2018
Directly to 100Hoog at the Wijnhaven comes a very luxurious apartment complex called The Muse. Due to the partially stepped facade, spacious terraces are created at a number of apartments, which offers the possibility for a lot of greenery. With its 70 meters The Muse is a somewhat lower tower, but due to its large volume the building will fill this part of the skyline nicely.
Bright
- Height: 70 m
- Start of construction: 2016
- Completed: 2018
On the vacant piece of land next to the Willem de Kooning Academy, which is quite small in terms of surface area, it is apparently possible to realize the 70-meter high Bright. The residential tower, which will offer apartments for students and starters, has a plan in the shape of a triangle, just like the piece of land that is currently being made ready for construction. Together with the surrounding high-rise buildings, such as the Markthal, Blaak 8, the Wijnhaeve and the Red Apple, a real metropolitan-looking area is created.
Glass harbor tower
- Height: 100 m
- Start of construction: -
- Ready: -
Apart from a few hand-drawn sketches, not much is known about the Glashaventoren. The residential tower, which is supposed to rise on Wijnhaveneiland, will probably have a completely glass facade, which will give the building an airy and open appearance. That will not be a crazy idea, since the Glashaventoren will be located right next to the Up:Town that is yet to be realized.
Metropolis
- Height: 70 m
- Start of construction: 2017
- Completed: 2018
Next to the Hilton Hotel on the Kruiskade there is still room for a sturdy residential tower of 70 meters high, the Metropool. This building will be a nice addition to the high-rise cluster around the Weena and the Hofplein.
