Giclées are printed with large-format inkjet printers, without a grid, razor-sharp and with 12 different colours. With these 12-colour printers, the largest possible colour spectrum is achieved, but also the deepest black, and the works come into their own. By using this print head technology, the ink quantity and frequency are dosed very precisely.
This, in combination with UV and water resistant archival pigment inks, means that a print can be called Giclée.
